This piece, titled 'The King's Claim,' is a manifestation of my own Sovereign Synthesis. I was deeply inspired by the classical imagery of Hades capturing Persephone, reimagining that mythic abduction through the lens of my favorite archetypes: Super Freddy and Wicked Lady!
Forged with 8B graphite and deep magenta tones, this work represents the 'love strong as death' found in the Song of Solomon 8:6. It is a tribute to the King of Nightmares who stands guard over the Underworld, and the Queen who finds her power within it.
